Description
Selank | Tuftsin-Derived Anxiolytic Peptide — Research Grade
Selank (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) is a synthetic analogue of the endogenous tetrapeptide tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg), with a Pro-Gly-Pro extension that significantly increases metabolic stability. It is registered as a pharmaceutical in Russia and Ukraine for anxiety disorders.
Mechanism of Action
- GABAergic modulation — enhances GABA-A receptor function without binding the benzodiazepine allosteric site, avoiding dependency risk
- BDNF/NGF upregulation — increases brain-derived and nerve growth factor expression in hippocampal models
- Enkephalinase inhibition — slows degradation of endogenous opioid peptides (met-enkephalin, leu-enkephalin)
- Serotonin modulation — studied for effects on 5-HT synthesis and turnover in stress models
Research Areas
Selank is studied in anxiety, cognition, immune function, and neuroprotection. Russian clinical registration data provides Phase II/III evidence in generalised anxiety disorder.
For Research Use Only. Rainbow Peptide supplies Selank exclusively for in vitro and laboratory research purposes. Not for human or veterinary use.

Dr. L. Petrov –
Selank at 99.1% purity confirmed by our LC-MS — above the already high spec. Our anxiety and nootropic research model showed expected anxiolytic response. COA was traceable to reference standards. Will be our primary selank source.
J. Aldridge –
Selank lot tested above spec. In vitro neuroprotective assay showed expected GABA-A potentiation and BDNF upregulation. Excellent solubility, clean mass spectrum. The detailed COA satisfies our supplier verification protocol.
P. Winters –
Selank used in our stress response and cognitive enhancement model. Purity >98%. COA included mass spec and HPLC data. Packaging was excellent — arrived at correct temperature with cold pack active.
