Description
Hexarelin | Potent GH Secretagogue and CD36 Ligand — Research Grade
Hexarelin (His-D-2-MeTrp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) is a synthetic hexapeptide and the most potent GHS-R1a agonist of the GHRP class. It uniquely also binds CD36, a scavenger receptor expressed in cardiac tissue, enabling research into cardioprotective mechanisms independent of GH release.
Mechanism of Action
- GHS-R1a agonism — highest GH-stimulating potency in the hexapeptide GHS class
- CD36 receptor binding — activates CD36 in cardiomyocytes, studied for myocardial protection in ischaemia models
- Cardioprotective — preclinical data shows reduction in infarct size and preservation of cardiac function via CD36-dependent pathways
- GH desensitisation — chronic administration studies show pituitary desensitisation, distinguishing it from Ipamorelin
Research Areas
Hexarelin is studied in GH deficiency, cardiac ischaemia-reperfusion injury, myocardial protection, and GHS pharmacology. Its dual receptor profile makes it unique among GH secretagogues for cardiovascular research applications.
For Research Use Only. Rainbow Peptide supplies Hexarelin exclusively for in vitro and laboratory research purposes. Not for human or veterinary use.

Dr. R. Strand –
Hexarelin is used in our cardiac protection research. Rainbow Peptide’s lot confirmed >98.7% purity. The cardioprotective activity in our ischemia model was consistent with peer-reviewed data. COA included endotoxin levels — important for our protocol.
J. Albrecht –
Third order of Hexarelin for our GH receptor study. Batch consistency has been excellent. Mass spec confirmed molecular weight. Dissolves cleanly in bacteriostatic water. Highly recommend this supplier.
O. Mensah –
Hexarelin arrived quickly with cold pack intact. Purity verified at 98.4%. Our GPCR binding assay showed expected selectivity. COA detailed. Good value for a research-grade peptide.
