Enclomiphene Powder — Research Overview
Enclomiphene is the trans-isomer of clomiphene citrate (the active isomeric component), a non-steroidal selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) studied for testosterone restoration via HPTA axis modulation. Unlike clomiphene citrate (a 62:38 mixture of zuclomiphene:enclomiphene), enclomiphene as an isolated isomer has distinct pharmacokinetics and a cleaner estrogen receptor antagonism profile relevant for gonadotropin research.
Mechanism of Action
Enclomiphene acts as an estrogen receptor antagonist in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, blocking the negative feedback of estradiol on GnRH and LH/FSH secretion. This disinhibition of the HPTA axis increases LH and FSH pulse amplitude and frequency, driving endogenous testicular testosterone production. Unlike exogenous testosterone, enclomiphene preserves spermatogenesis — a key distinction for male reproductive endocrinology research.

Enclomiphene is used in: hypogonadism mechanism research, HPTA axis recovery modelling (post-exogenous androgen suppression), male fertility and spermatogenesis studies, and estrogen receptor pharmacology in CNS and reproductive tissue.
