Description
Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) 20mL | Sterile Research Buffer
Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) is the most widely used isotonic buffer in biological research, providing a physiologically compatible environment (pH 7.4, 137mM NaCl, 2.7mM KCl, 10mM phosphate) for cell culture, protein work, and peptide reconstitution. This 20mL sterile preparation is produced under controlled manufacturing conditions with endotoxin testing to ensure suitability for sensitive research applications.
Research Applications
- Peptide reconstitution — suitable diluent for water-soluble peptides; maintains stability at neutral pH
- Cell washing and culture — isotonic formulation prevents osmotic shock during cell washing, passaging, and FACS preparation
- Western blot and ELISA — standard diluent for antibodies, blocking buffers, and wash steps
- Flow cytometry — used as suspension and wash buffer for cell surface marker staining protocols
